LUCIANO ESSE started to work in the Italian clubbing scene in
the early 90s. Joining the staff of The Flame he began to have
the first contacts with decks and vinyl. In 2000 he moved to
London, where he lived for ten years, to further deepen his
musical knowledge and was immediately noticed by some
promoters, who gave him the opportunity to play regularly in all
the best London clubs, from Fabric to The End, from The Cross
to The Egg.
In 2005 he began organizing a monthly itinerant party called
ZUM, in collaboration with Antonio De Angelis. In 2006 John
Digweed hosted him on his famous show Transitions on Radio
Kiss 100.
In the following years he became resident dj at The Flame
Music Department in Milan, based at the Amnesia superclub.
In summers 2006 and 2007 he was one of the resident djs at
We Love Sundays @ Space in Ibiza.
After few years playing as a regular DJ at Clorophilla, Cromie
and Guendalina, he became resident dj at Sound Department in
Taranto, one of the most important clubs in Italy, where he spent
9 years.
He shared the decks with Craig Richards, Richie Hawtin,
Ricardo Villalobos, Jeff Mills, Sven Vath, Oscar Mulero, Dave
Clarke and many others, in the best Italian and European
venues.
His sound is techno, touching all the possible electronic
contaminations.
He produced music for the following record labels: Life & Death,
Sleaze, Affekt Recordings, District66, Safari Electronique,
Leftroom, Material Series, Tenax, Trapez, Out-Er, Sound
Department Ascolti.
