Samuel Umberto Romano, known simply as Samuel, is an Italian singer-songwriter and guitarist.

He is the frontman of the Subsonica group, in which he is also the composer and author of the song lyrics together with Max Casacci and Davide Dileo, better known as Boosta.

The singer initially performed with the Hisonz Street Band, then was part of the first lineup of the Friends of Roland together with keyboardist Davide Dileo (who was called Il boosta); some time later the two left the group to join Max Casacci, with the aim of recording an EP. Having signed an agreement with the Mescal record company, together with Ninja and Pierfunk, Samuel becomes the frontman of Subsonica.
